Shaneiva is an artist and proud Gamilaraay woman. Her work symbolises her culture and focuses on storytelling. Each piece Shaneiva creates is deeply personal and she hopes through the power of her artwork she will be able to raise awareness which leads to better outcomes for First Nations people.

What are you most proud of this year?
I’m proud that I stepped into my power of truth telling and saying no to things that don’t align with who I am. I’ve chosen to only be in spaces and around people who bring peace to my spirit. Working with Sportsgirl has always been such a heart-warming experience, because I feel that I can always be my true authentic self with the team and I feel genuinely celebrated.
This year I learnt…
…to really prioritise my inner peace and health.
