Retail Operations
Retail Operations is the extension of our store teams. They provide our in-store team members with all the tools of the trade required to be successful in their daily operations. Our National Sales Manager also leads the growth and development of our Business Managers and store teams, whilst our National Retail Operations Manager develops and implements strategies to grow sales across our entire store portfolio. 

Visual Merchandising
Our VM department is our creative hub! They create the eye-catching window displays and inspiring in-store environments that engage our customer with our current trends. We have part-time and full-time opportunities available in our stores, on the road, and in our Head Office at Palmer Parade. The best news? These positions are available nationally. Study a Diploma of Visual Merchandising today to secure a spot in VM.

Buying – a much sought after career both in the fashion industry and at Sportsgirl. Our buyers source new product and trends for our customers to ensure we are an up-to-the-minute fashion leader. For those who have just graduated with a Bachelor or Advanced Diploma in Fashion, we have a range of entry-level Buying Assistant opportunities available across both our Apparel and Accessories departments. We’ll coach & develop you so you can continue your career with us to become a Trainee Buyer, Senior Buyer, and (eventually) our Buying Manager!

Quality Assurance
The lesser-known side of our Buying department. Our QA team ensure not only that our products fit our customer, but also that fabric and garment construction meets Sportsgirl quality standards. As a hands-on role, study across garment construction, patternmaking, and textile technology is a must to succeed in these roles.

Our Planning department goes hand-in-hand with Buying. They ensure the right product is in the right store, at the right time. Our team look at store grading, store performance, post season analyses, and new season strategies to determine a product allocation plan that will best suit our customer.
Just as with Buying, we have full career progression opportunities available, from entry-level Assistant roles to Planning Manager. Relevant tertiary qualifications can include a Bachelor or Advanced Diploma in Fashion or a Bachelor of Business or Commerce.

Marketing & Digital
Our Marketing and Digital teams work hand in hand to communicate with our customers. Our Marketing team are responsible for promoting the Sportsgirl brand across media channels and in stores. Our team have tertiary qualifications such as Graphic Design, Marketing, and Public Relations.
As well as supporting our Marketing strategy, our Digital team also look after our online store, making sure it is as easy to navigate as possible. Tertiary study areas are broad but include Marketing, Digital, Business, and Communications.

Store Development
Our Store Development team work with all stores! They are responsible for coordinating new store openings and refurbishing our current sites, as well as maintaining & improving our existing stores. They ensure our stores look fabulous for our customers and are safe for our team members. There are a range of qualifications you can study if you want to be a part of this team, including Interior/Industrial Design, Architecture, or Project Management.

Finance & Payroll
Finance look after all brands across the Sussan Group. Our opportunities cover Accounts Payable, Financial Accounting, Financial Analysts, Banking, and Auditing. Our Payroll team also sit under the Finance umbrella and ensure sure all of our team members are paid on time each week. Relevant qualifications include Bachelor of Business, Commerce, or Finance, as well as obtaining your CPA.

Our tech gurus. This team looks after all technology within our business, including point of sale in stores and our digital website for our customers. Virtually everything that takes place in our business is touched by technology in some way, so we wouldn’t survive without them! Although tertiary qualifications are broad, study options include a Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor of Information Technology.

People & Development
We LOVE our people here at Sportsgirl, and our People & Development team are here to support you. We have opportunities in Recruitment (both for Store teams and Head Office departments), Health Safety & Wellbeing, and Learning & Development. Tertiary qualifications can include Business, Management, Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, or Occupational Health and Safety courses.
