AUTUMN LOOKS

girl_interrupted: said this on Saturday 20 March 2010, 08:32 PM; My favourite look for all the in between weather at the moment has to be the 'short over long' - when you wear a long cardigan or even a coat underneath a cropped jacket. It sounds weird but I first saw it on garance dore's blog (http://www.garancedore.fr/en/2010/02/17/so-far-so-good/). You have to play around with the layers to get it just right, but there are so many possibilities!

Went to a few shows for Melb fashion week, alot of labels seem to be playing with loads of layers.

Layers and jackets are going to be HUGE for autumn - whether it's a classic Paddington ala Alexa Chung, faux fur or statement shaggy jacket. Military is still big news as well. & It's def time to pile on the woolly layers: oversized, loosely draped scarves, snoods and chunky knits are HOT!! Actually quite looking forward to getting snug and creative this winter!!

Lately I have noticed there are so many different styles of stockings/leggings out at the moment. Florals, leoprard print pattened, poka dot, lace, wet look leggings, tie die leggings, lots of bold colours. Basically any colour or style you could think of has been designed and made. For me I'm really looking forward to embracing this trend in the cooler months ahead,stockings and leggings are so very versitile and can be worn with just about anything.
Though I do have a question for you Sportsgirls, should wet look/leather look leggings be worn with long tops or dresses as well as some tops or only long tops and dresses. I have noticed that people do wear these leggings as pants,or maybe they're actually leather pants its hard to say. I would just like your opinion.
