HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH?

Today I saw a couple of tweenage (11-13) girls in Westfield. They both had on heavy foundation, blush, mascara, eyeshadow, thick eye liner and thick frosted bubblegum pink lipgloss. And that made me consider...how much IS too much? Which THEN led to: How much make-upis suitable for a 14-15 year old, what did you use to/do you wear and what do you wish to see more often on teenagers?

Things have changed alot since then of course, but I still don't think I agree with girls wearing make-up. Actually I think it's a bit creepy and Lolita-esque.

and it was only when i went out for dinner/some place nice.

i wish more girls my age would wear less makeup! they are all beautiful and they don't have to hide under layers and layers of foundation

ezzabezza: said this on Thursday 08 October 2009, 10:03 AM; I think at any age too much makeup is a turnoff, but mainly at such a young age....it is really sad. The other day i saw primary school girls wearing makeup...at that age i don't really understand why? Everyone of my guy friends agrees they don't go for girls that look like they need a shovel to remove makeup...less is more. And besides at least that way you don't look like your hiding anything :) Im 24 and am very happy wearing a bit of mineral foundation, mascara and bronzer.

ugenius01: said this on Monday 12 October 2009, 10:02 PM; I totally agree with you guys =] i was a makeup consultant and had to do a lot of research into ingredients in makeup and some of the stuff thats in foundation these days is 100% ageing! i love make-up, so i can empathise with young girls who like to wear it every now and then, but those who pile it on everyday are ruining their skin. Mineral makeup is the way to go btw! =]
