Hello ladies,
Yes, I found a goergous padded, black coco chanel bag with a gold chain in St Vincent de Paul. I got it for $12! I still have it now and would never dream of selling it.
That is my best find, x

i got some marc jacobs bags and a prada bag when i was in china, and they are obviously knock offs (i only paid like $30 or $40 each for them) although they do try to sell them to you for the high hundreds at first.
my point is, they look pretty real! they are of a really high quality leather, have engraving and some even have serial numbers and authenticity numbers to prove it.
i didnt buy them to make people think they are real, but they look pretty close! ive seen the classic chanel bags there, in every shape size and colour, so chances are its a knock off, but still a good find.
a friend in china told me that some of the bags are real in that they are all made there, but whilst some get shipped off to to the high end boutiques, leftovers get sent to the streets of china illegally, and the same happens in thailand, malaysia, philippines, singapore etc....
i dont know if she is right, but its an interesting thought!

Hahaha, I live in NSW and I found the bag in the Randwick Vinnies, however you're more likely to find more good stuff at the Vinnies in Bronte. Just a tip :)
Hope you find stuff! x

If it was in the Eastern suburbs there's a chance it's real. Unfortunately in general there are just not enough people in Australia who actually buy the big designer stuff, so the chances of finding something like that are small, even on eBay.
I got some bags in Thailand a couple of years ago. One guy I befriended explained that there were fake fakes and real fakes, the difference being the price and the real fakes are leather and the fake fakes vinyl.
