I need one bad! haha don't get me wrong i have a bunch of friends and a great boyfriend but i need one with the same interests who i can share all my secrets with and most importantly shop with!
haha this is kinda pointless but its been on my mind for a while

I've never been big on the girlfriend thing as I always found I got on better with guys, or just girls who are not very 'girly girls'. But this of course means that they are not really interested in fashion and sometimes they think I'm a bit weird with what I wear or how much I love fashion.
But I 've found lately that some of these friends are actually becoming more interested in this stuff, just because we are becoming closer and getting to know each other more and some of them have even admitted they'd like to try and learn stuff about fashion from me! So, I guess my advice would be not to write anyone off, you never know when you might find a friend in someone you already know. And make an effort to get to know peple on a more real level, like just hanging out or going for coffee, instead of going out and getting drunk every weekend. One girl I have known for about 8 years but only at pubs and parties and stuff and we just realised about a year ago that we have heaps in common and are now good friends!

I used to have a best friend all throughout highschool and for a few years after but in the last year or so we have totally drifted apart and I probably am lucky to see her every 6 months, it's not the same, she has changed a lot and I don't even know what to talk to her about now. (end sob story haha) Having said this I am not really the type of person who needs other company. I am actually quite content just being by myself I always find ways to keep myself amused, not saying I am loner or anything like that, cause in turn I really enjoy going out with friends and the likes but don't feel the need to constantly be surrounded by people!!!

But I think that the main thing is, there isn't enough time to have a best friend. I know that sounds silly as you are always meant to be able to make time but it just doesn't seem to happen. I work Monday through Thursday and have uni on Fridays (thankfully only 1 exam left and I am free for 6 months) and then we are up to the weekends, which most of my friends work both days of and they have the week free, so it really is hard to catch up with people.

I also have a boyfriend who works during the week, studies and plays bball like every night, so Saturday is usually 'boyfriend day'

I have a group of girl friends who I love to death and we all get along really well, but I don't think that I would call any of them my BEST friend and I think they would feel the same toward me.

I honestly used to struggle to believe this but as I get more and more into the workforce see it to be true; you see your work colleagues more than anyone else in your life, hence the reason I have started to understand the necessity of enjoying your working environment because they really do become your new 'family'

tbizcuts: said this on Wednesday 07 October 2009, 11:30 PM; wow girls i cant believe im not the only one! its crazy i always see all the girls going shopping togethor and i think i want that! i want to ask a GIRL if this outfit suits me not my boyfriend (although he has AMAZING tatste and knows more about fashion than me....worrying much? haha) but i want to talk about girl things and laugh about them if i was to even mention periods my bf would not talk to me for an hour haha

but this has made me feel much better and not so lonely! thanks girls xo

Bella3: said this on Tuesday 20 October 2009, 05:18 PM; Last night I watched a movie with the boyf, I think it was called I Love You Man with Paul Rudd, and it was all about how he didn't have a best friend and seemed to only get along with girls hahaha I know that this has no relevance to the question but just had to share with you that someone had made a movie about our very dilemma!! xx

I find it so much harder to get along with girls, because of their bitchyness, and i really cant deal with it.
