Microdermabrasion

blackvelvetribbon: said this on Wednesday 12 August 2009, 09:27 PM; I actually performed Microdermabrasion :) I went to this skin salon for work experience last year (I want to be a dermatologist) and practised on my supervisor. I also watched her do this to a client. Basically there are these crystals in a machine or something, and there's this pen connected to that machine which sucks air and skin cells from your face, yum. So it 'resurfaces' your skin, you have to get multiple treatments done for it to work though.

the end result was good, my face was a bit red for a bit afterwards because the machine sucks your skin.
i found it hurt a bit,
but if my skins going to look good i can do with a bit of pain lol,

Ive had microdermabrasions done before and it left my skin baby smooth. One time the girl put the level up too high and it left me with thin scabs :( scaryyy I havent gone back for them since... I suggest peels over micro cos they reach the layer beneath your skin not just the top :)
