    Hi !
I have a Sportsgirl group interview coming up and i am very nervous!!
Just wondering if anyone has been to a Sportsgirl group interview before, and if yes, what sort of activities happen?
I've been to interviews before but that was just infront of a panel of interviewers!
i already have an outfit picked out so i am relieved i have that one out of the way!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

My advice is to be candid, professional and confident. If you don't get in, don't despair, there's probably a job better suited to you somewhere else.

I went to a Supre group interview once where only two people showed up. They asked us about ourselves and why we want to work at Supre, and that was it. I got my job at Boost through a group 'audition' where we basically played games and they picked the most outgoing people. They had an elimination round and the people who were left got 5 minute interviews. It felt like a Big Brother audition!

Wow, I can't believe Boost interview that way! I guess they do have a typical worker 'type' don't they? Although I have bought plenty of Boosts from not-so-enthusiastic worker bees!

I can't decide if a group interview would make me more nervous or less, because there are other people there and the focus is not just on you? It is like the reverse of the panel interview which is what I mostly have had - sooo much pressure!

Myer have group interviews to like i was put into a group of 5 people and given a product and we would have to brainstorm on how to sell it to a customer
    i had a kettle
it was easy and my group won haha then you would have a seperate interview with the manager of the secton you want to work in
Just try to stand out a bit aswell make them remember you

Hey hun, I work for Sporty and only did an individual interview but it was pretty standard. They asked things like how you would sell products, how you would achieve daily budgets if it was a quiet day, what you thought were your positive attributes and your negatives, they asked about a time where i had a complaint at my previous job and how i handled it, why i was leaving my current job etc etc. At the time i had no sale experience so had NO idea about the selling questions but i think i sailed through the interview because i just acted really confident (even though i was dieing inside!). Other girls i work with did the group interview and i know that the ones that spoke up, were bubbly and confident, showed leadership while also working well as a team and didnt sink into the background got in. Although that was three years ago.. So hope that helps. Just dazzle them with your smile, let your personality shine through and you will do great! Good luck!! x

Ive never been to a Sportsgirl one but i have had group interviews before. Generally companies do group interviews to observe your personality getting along with others and working in a team. You just gotta speak up lots without being inconsiderate to the other candidates. And if possible, be a little bit unique/creative so you stand out! :) It cant hurt being prepared with some solid answers to questions that companies generally ask. For example: why do you want to work here? Why are you the best candidate? What qualities will you bring to the position? Describe a time when you have dealt with conflict and what did you do to deal with it?.. etc. If you get too nervous just take a deep breath! Good luck!
