Sportsgirl Superstylist Comp

Everyone knows how difficult it is to break into the fashion industry, especially when everyone thinks that they've got what it takes or THE look. Who knows...this competiton may take the winner places! What do you guys think?

I also like the other comp with going backstage, the september issue, because meeting/seeing Anna wintour is like a dream to me.

The stylist competition sounds like a great idea and a really good opportunity for someone to get a start in the business but it’s a really specific skill set so I can’t decide if I’m interested in entering. Either way I think I’ll be turning up to Chadstone to see what the finalists come up with.

Maybe I’m just shy but I think you’d have to be very confident in your styling abilities or a professional stylist to want to participate in this type of competition in front of a crowd and judges.

emuir: said this on Monday 17 August 2009, 10:20 PM; sportsgirl- is it just the actual looks being considered, because some of us aren't able to get fancy models and photography but are just as serious as the ones we see on the webpage. It feels like I can't compete because i can't make it look like a vogue shoot- using my bus stop as the setting as myself as the model, and my Boyfriend as the photographer!
