Handbags v Pockets

coco: said this on Sunday 02 August 2009, 05:09 PM; I have to be honest; I don't really like handbags. Girls tend to look more stylish without them, and yet can't seem to live without them. If I could, I would get rid of every handbag I have. (Except the gorgeous miniaudieres. My favourite is in black eel skin. I get excited just thinking about it!) But how could I live without it? I need bigger pockets! (btw, SG request: please make your jeans' pockets bigger; they aren't very practical otherwise. Thanks!)

I like using pockets to put my phone in, change, but there's not enough room to put things you would normally put in your handbag

cjoym: said this on Sunday 02 August 2009, 08:44 PM; I very much agree. A bag can destroy the silhouette of an outfit. I once read Garance Dore say that she often asks people she photographs to ditch their handbags unless the outfit they're wearing cannot do without it.
If anything, I don't understand why some carry around Country Road bags. Do you seriously carry that much stuff around with you?

You often notice that during fashion weeks, fashion editors prefer to carry their belongings or place them in their pockets. I know that Carine Roitfeld is one who's against the use of handbags, saying that she much prefers to put her hands in her pockets.

Definately couldn't do without them on a practical level either. I don't understand how you could find them annoying to carry, I don't even notice them?
