depends, when you've been at uni all week, have work on both days and like a million assignments to do the weekend can seem not so much like your friend. but i think i'm just a tad bitter at the moment. REAL weekends are amazing.

Yeah, I know what you mean by 'real weekends'. I worked pretty much every weekend of my 4 year degree. It is the most amazing feeling when you finish and get a real job with your weekends free!! It has been years since and I still can't bring myself to commit to any work on a weekend, even though it would be really good money.

I’m studying science at Melbourne Uni. Usually I don’t have that many assignments just a lot of stuff to learn and fun three hour pracs. I do enjoy it most of the time though.

I did an Applied Science degree :-) Thankfully my weekend job was related to my degree, so it kind of helped.

Go science and fashion! unforchanetly my weekend job is making burgers which doesn't really relate. But that's ok, it's fairly stress free. i don't know if i want to go into a scientific field, i just enjoy studying science. maybe having a part time job in a scientific field could help that though. Did it help you with your career?

Definately presented some different options for me than what the average grad woud have had. My employers were really great people though and recognised that I was as much an asset to them as the job was to me.
