WHEN I GROW UP

Even from a young age we have aspirations and just about everyone wanted to be something when they “grew up”. I wanted to be a fireman. Yes, a fireman. Big dream for a lil’ kid who wasn’t the best at blowing out birthday candles but hey what can I say? In the eyes of a five year old, red fire trucks were truly amazing! And the fact that squirting water guns at sparklers just wasn’t working made me itch for that profession even more. It took me a long time to actually realise that you probably had to be a man to be a fireman! hahah :P. I’m just glad I got over that phase but looking back it sure was good times!
What did you want to be when you grew up?

Hmmm, can't say I did ever have a dream like that. Is that bad? My boyfriend wanted to be an architect since he was like, 3 & guess what? He's now an awesome architect! So freakin' talented.

I think I wanted to be a singer or actor, but quickly found out I couldn’t sing or act. I’m actually following through with one of my more realistic dreams of being a psychologist which for me is really exciting. Only like 5 more years of uni left lol.

wow; that’s so great that he never gave up and conquered his dream job! It reminds me of the movie The Pursuit of happiness where the character is ever so determined and says “Don’t ever let somebody tell you you can’t do something...if you want somethin’, go get it. Period.” Absolutely loved that movie; it was so inspirational. I love happy endings too of course! Please give your boyfriend a pat on the back for me :)

Aww, that's sweet, thanks. I am pretty proud of him. 9 years of studying & I was with him every step of the way :-)

I wanted to be a professional knitter :P I would get two ear cleaners (clean!) and tie one length of wool from the end of one of the cleaners to the end of the other one and then just kind of twiddle them around :D Since then I wanted to be a writer and I still do. Wish me luck!
