    Hey!
    dinner parties are awesome! But yes - the food is often the talking point so its important to nail it!
    U know masterchef has heaps of recipes on their website! I think their macaroons look mad (but prob a bit
    hard to make!).

    Otherwise you could try these favourites:
    * puff pastry twists - http://www.grouprecipes.com/sr/32200/parmesan-puff-pastry-twists/recipe/
    * delicious roast chicken - http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/chicken-recipes/roast-chicken-with-lemon-and-rosemary-ro
    * easy tiramisu - http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/10412/easy+tiramisu

    I've used these recipes and they were a hit!

    goodluck hun

    At Coles yesterday there was a poster of the contestant's dishes from Sunday night (eg. the salmon). If that's still there, I suggest you go look at that, or go to the masterchef website (www.masterchef.com.au).

    pretty much anything pasta based is good - cheap, easy to make big quantities, tasty, filling.

    i love cooking bacon and mushrooms in basil, coriander, chilli, garlic, lemon juice and olive oil. toss through your cooked pasta and top with crumbled fetta! yum!

    Thanks everyone! There are so many delicious recipe links! Yummmm. My only stress is catering for one vegetarian! Do I cook her a seperate dish or make the main meal veg for everyone? Like veggie pasta? That one Stephanie mentioned minus the bacon?? I love that all these recommendations aren't too tricky! Yay!

    Yeah id make the main meal veg, so she doesn't feel kind of left out? Vegetarian dishes are just as yum as dishes with meat in them, & yeah the dish Stephanie mentioned sounds delicious.

    Dinner parties are awesome indeed! When I throw a dinner party I get everyone involved in making something because I’m always curious to taste what my friends have put together. Plus, kitchen disasters make great conversations at the dinner table and you discover dishes and desserts you’ve never thought of making before! I reckon finger foods are great to start off the night and keep everyone happy. You’ll find a few handy recipes at http://www.cuisine.com.au/recipe-finder/finger-food-recipes
    All the best melbstyle :)
