Sportsgirl Guest Blogger Susie Lau AKA Style Bubble has landed in Sydney, and is set to bring you the latest from the RAFW runways! Check out her first post as official fashion week blogger.

Hello Sydney!

Ms Lau aka Bubble has touched down into Sydney

When I came back from my trip to Sydney for Rosemount Australian Fashion Week last year, I had the worst case of holiday blues I had ever experienced. Perhaps it was my first taste of Oz that had me hooked - the cheesy squeal I let out when I first saw the Sydney Opera House, singing the theme tune of Home and Away at Bondi, eating various yum-yum things in and around Surry Hills. Add all of that to the shows I saw at RAFW which brought on a distinctively Aussie period on my blog to the point, where readers were probably wishing I'd stop banging on about all things Aussie.

The dramatic dawn sky as I was landing into Sydney… we can only hope for skies this clear throughout the week…

So I'm back for a second time and this time I've got an even more specific mission to blog about RAFW for Sportsgirl. We'll see how the week pans out. In any case, I'm looking forward to seeing the designers that really shone and stood out in many respects last year - Dion Lee, Arnsdorf, Ellery, Karla Spetic and Therese Rawsthorne, to name a few. Then I'm looking forward to the likes of Josh Goot and Lover who are returning to RAFW hopefully with a bang. I’m hoping to go home with a few new gems too, to look out for next year.

Of course I won’t be purely limiting myself strictly to show reports on the blog. On the Sportsgirl Twitter, and Facebook hopefully there’ll be picky moments that match this priceless shot of me flailing dramatically in front of the Opera House.

Having just landed into Sydney, the work begins today with Romance was Born’s off-schedule show later on today. Jet-lag recovery frankly is an option. I’m knocking back the espressos at an alarming rate right now before I head out to Sportsgirl for a blast of shopping, where I have eye on a fair amount of the Richard Nicoll x Sportsgirl collaboration.
