Who said festivals were just for summer? Winter festival Vivid is bringing "light, music and ideas" to Sydney from 27 May -13 June 2011, and the music line-up is pretty epic!

Vivid Sydney is a mega-festival featuring everything from light installations on the Opera House to art and public talks, but it's the music part of the festival, Vivid LIVE, that has our attention. This year's line-up was curated by Modular honcho Steve Pavlovic, and all we can say is: well played, Steve. Well played.

Bat for Lashes (AKA the gorgeously ethereal Natasha Khan) will be heading to Oz for the first time ever to play the festival, joining the likes of Cut Copy, Architecture in Helsinki, The Avalanches, 2manydjs, Tame Impala and wait for it...
