Miso combines fine art approaches to street art for a one-of-a-kind style that has us swooning - and we’re not the only ones. Miso has exhibited worldwide on streets and in galleries, and is currently based in Melbourne where she works with the Mitten Fortress artist collective.

Intricate, narrative, and hard to define, Miso’s work spans everything from paper to installations – and she says her ultimate goal is to “make whole buildings”. Sportsgirl caught up with the talented artist for some Q&A.

Sportsgirl: Hi Miso. Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Miso: I grew up in the Ukraine, now I live in Melbourne. I spend all day drawing in my studio and working for exhibitions. When I have more time, I draw paste ups to put up at night.

Sportsgirl: And what you do?

Miso: I wheatpaste portraits onto streets, make installation projects in galleries, draw, sew and make paper cuts. I’ve also been writing a book, and sometimes I curate exhibitions.

Sportsgirl: Who or what is your biggest inspiration?

Miso: Grown ups with braces.

Sportsgirl: What's your ultimate goal?

Miso: Making whole buildings.

Sportsgirl: What would be your dream job?

Miso: I don’t think I can complain about drawing in my studio all day. But maybe botanical drawing for a museum would be nice, or working at the zoo.

Sportsgirl: Finish these sentences:
