Aussie model and blogger Zanita has us addicted to her stylish blog, www.zanita.com.au. She writes, inspires us with her outfits combos, gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the life of a model, and oh yeah, is pretty handy with a camera too! Is there anything she can’t do? Check out our interview!
Sportsgirl: Tell us a little bit about yourself Zanita?
Zanita: I grew up on a farm in Western Australia, I moved to Sydney five years ago to pursue a career in modelling. I began blogging at the suggestion of a friend, who knew of my interest in fashion and of how much time I spent searching websites for inspiration.
SG: And your talent?
I'm a fashion blogger! I take self portraits of my own outfits so I guess my talents are photography, styling and modelling.
SG: How would you describe your style?
Casual and comfortable with a twist. Actually this is a brief description, I actually feel my personal style is very inconsistent. I love variety.
SG: What is your blog all about?
My blog is basically a style diary but I've been experimenting with my photography and editing and using my modelling experience. I usually write a little about things I've done and my other interests, so there's an insight into my personality too. There's definitely a 'Big Brother' element to bloggers that people seem to enjoy.
SG: Who, or what, is your biggest inspiration?
Pretty pictures in fashion magazines. Chloe Sevigny, Diane Kruger and Anouk Lepere. Fashion shows. The 'Supers' of the '90s.
SG: What is your ultimate goal?
Different opportunities arise for style bloggers all the time, book deals, jobs in the fashion media, invitations to fashion events all over the world, designing for a major fashion brands, modelling contracts. At the moment all I want for my blog is to keep it interesting, maintain an open mind and see what's around the corner!
SG: What's your dream job?
I think I already have my dream job (modelling), I'd just like to do it in New York.
SG: Finish these statements!
