Sportsgirl gets the lowdown on hot festival fashion from the talented songbird Sam Obernik as she gets set to hit the road for the Good Vibrations Festival!

With music fest season officially in full swing, we've got fun on our minds and want to look good doing it! For tips on must haves for summer festivals, there's no one more qualified than Sam Obernik, known for her on-stage get-ups and general glamour as she wows the crowds at festivals wordwide.

For those on the Good Vibrations Festival circuit who have never seen you perform, how would you describe your live show?

A vocal roller coaster of shiny big tunes... Comedy high heeled balancing act with breathlessness in all the wrong places!

As someone who has done the rounds of touring, what makes for a fantastic gig?

From my perspective it's without a doubt a properly awesome crowd with a quick sense of humour... From out front it's gotta be a properly bonafide & dynamic delivery :)

You always look glamorous performing! How would you describe your on-stage style?

Thank you! Ooh... A bit skitzy I guess;) it depends on the gig, but I always endeavour to uphold some quirky sparkle about the place... Dib dib

How does it differ from your everyday look?

Ha... Unfair question! When I'm off stage I'm a real home-bird... Comfort is king! I got my Supras and my Boyfriends on ;) ... and a flourish of something swanky ;)

What one fashion item can’t you live without?

Definitely the eyewear.

What are your best tips for summer festival fashion?

Skip the heels and go for the "feel"... Festivals are such a great arena for forgetting about fashion as it would usually like to be known. It's the big two fingers to non-conformist conformism! Wear whatever is gonna get you through a hedge backwards, in style ;) go figure!

What’s the one “must have” item for all festival goers?

My failsafe has got to be a gorgeous multi-tasking scarf... Pay attention, fellas too! Covers almost all emergencies ... I could bore you with hilarious details but you can use your imagination!
