And the award for Song of the Year goes to… The Temper Trap!
After blitzing the summer festival circuit and pretty much taking up permanent residence in the Aussie charts with their debut album Conditions, Melbourne fourpiece The Temper Trap just keep piling on the accolades!
Last night the Australasian Performing Rights Association (APRA) Music Awards were held in Sydney, and The Temper Trap nabbed the biggest award of the night, Song of the Year, for their slow build gem Sweet Disposition. With such amazing fellow nominees as Sarah Blasko, Kate Miller-Heidke, and Empire of the Sun, it was tough competition!
If you haven’t had a chance to check out their unique sound, take a sneaky peek at the vid for Sweet Disposition (AKA Song of the Year) below – the boys are also set to play this year’s Festival of Festivals, Splendour, and we'll be front row, ready to sing along!
