Get excited! Director Sofia Coppola is set to bring you more of her unique brand of gorgeous/ girlie/ indie film goodness with the release of her fourth movie Somewhere.
It’s no secret that we here at Sportsgirl HQ are fans of Miss Coppola (as girls we’re pretty much genetically programmed love her work), so you can imagine the squeals when the trailer for the director’s upcoming release was released this week. It’s got all the elements we’ve come to expect: gorgeous looks, great music and a heartfelt storyline.
The director of The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette and Oscar-winning Lost in Translation, returns to the big screen with a father-daughter dramedy (that’s totally a word) starring Stephen Dorff and Dakota Fanning’s little sister, Elle. Dorff is a Hollywood has been and Fanning his 11-year-old daughter – when she shows up for an unexpected visit, his life of excess is turned upside down.
The movie also features an ah-may-zing soundtrack courtesy of French group Phoenix (AKA the band featuring Coppola’s hubby Thomas Mars) and the likes The Strokes, as well as appearances from supermodels Erin Wasson and Aussie Nicole Trunfio.
Ready for an overload of dreamy delights? Of course you are!
Somewhere is due for release December 2010.
