Alyx Gorman is a fashion writer and Associate Editor of Oyster Magazine, where she’s in charge of putting words on pages. Alyx has been working at Oyster her entire adult life, starting off as an intern, before becoming Editorial Assistant, then Web Editor, then her current position. Alyx is also on the verge of completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney where she studies Arts Informatics, Political Economy and Philosophy. Alyx first realised she wanted to work in fashion at the age of 15, when she visited a Vivienne Westwood exhibition in her hometown of Canberra. At the time her hair was boysenberry purple. At the moment, Alyx’s biggest goal is to avoid having a quarter-life crisis. Her main interests are clothes, boys and post-Hegelian left wing philosophy.
