How much would you pay for a weeklong internship with Vogue magazine and an up close glimpse of the legendary Anna Wintour at work? A recent charity auction offering just that closed at a jaw-dropping $45,900! Just. Wow.

Charity auction house Charitybuzz sold the ultimate fashionista package to raise funds for The RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights – and raise funds they did! With a high bid of $42,500 US (around $45,000 Australian), the winner scores a weeklong stint at Vogue, an Alexander Wang Duffle Bag, a Proenza PS1, a $1,000 Louboutin gift certificate and tickets to NY Fashion Week.

Not to mention the opportunity to witness the influential and famously steely Editor Anna Wintour in all her glory: if the auction description is anything to be believed, “just being near her will make you chic”!

We just loved seeing La Wintour at work in the amazing behind-the-scenes-at-Vogue doco The September Issue, and like to think that the internship will go a little something like this:

I think you may have done the currency conversion wrong... isn't the USD/AUD exchange rate at about 90c?
