13-year-old Tavi Gevinson is the youngest blogger superstar in the world, joining the likes of Susie Bubble and Fashion Toast in popularity.

The tween fashionista is the latest blogger on everyone’s screens and it’s no wonder: she’s smart, she’s funny, she knows fashion, and she just turned 13.

Describing herself as a “Tiny 13 year old dork that sits inside all day wearing awkward jackets and pretty hats,” Tavi has hit fashion star status in just over a year since she started her blog, Style Rookie.

Far from being a rookie, Tavi has serious fashion cred: the designers from Rodarte sent her a pair of their swoony knit leggings before they were released; she was featured in the likes of Interview and Love magazines, and recently scored the cover of fashion glossy-on-the-rise Pop.

The latest It Girl of the fashion set was even recently front row at NY Fashion Week, the paparazzi snapping her every move.

So why all the hype? In a universe of bloggers, Tavi is one-of-a-kind with her serious love of fashion and light-hearted approach, rocking out posts like this review of a Paris Vogue editorial:

“THAT FONT. I MEAN..WHAT. It's called Curlz. With a z. It's almost as bad as Comic Sans and is infamous for its many appearances in numerous MS Word documents and 8 year old birthday party invitations. I used it for my 8 year old birthday party invitation."

And even though she sometimes doesn’t quite fit into her couture, Tavi can count us as her latest fans thanks to her fashion love, cute sense of humour and fearless outfits. Check out Tavi in action in her vlog on scoring the cover of Pop magazine:
