My bag has items totalling $

Tie-dye is a massive look that has been seen everywhere from Balmain to fashion bloggers. If you’re feeling the need for some tie-dye action, get creative on your fave white basics with our step-by-step instructions.
It’s an easy way to try out the trend without handing over a chunk of cash for an investment piece – better yet, an excuse to get artistic! Warning: once you start, nothing white in your wardrobe will be safe…
What you need:
• White cotton basics – this can be whatever you want, tees, singlets, jeans, tops, tote bags, tights.... You can find a great range of white basic items at Sportsgirl, so why not try it out from $29.95.
• Fabric dye (available in craft shops)
• Squirt bottles (depending on your design)
• Gloves
• Rubber bands
• Bucket or an old pot
Step by step:
1. Wash your item and when damp, place it flat on a table or bench
2. Scrunch or fold it into the pattern you’re after – for a marbled effect, just scrunch and fold randomly, or follow this guide to folds from Dylon - but remember no two tie-dyes will be the same!!
3. Tie the folded item tight with rubber bands
4. If you’re using one colour: add dye to a bucket or old pot using instructions on dye packet, and then add your newly tied item
5. If you want to use more than one colour, place dye into spray bottles and apply one colour at a time – making sure your item is on a safe surface!
6. Your dye packaging will give you instructions on how long it takes to dye and how to set the colour. Once it’s set, rinse it off, give it a wash in the machine, dry, and you’re ready to go!
