We've got a major blog crush on Dee from www.deeelightful.com - her gorgeous photos, beautiful fashion sense and girlie-meets-realist aesthetic gets us ooh-ing and aah-ing with every viewing - and have even seen her featured on UK Vogue. We were lucky enough to catch up with the Sydneysider to chat about blogging fame, Sportsgirl and of course, fashion.

• Sportsgirl: Hi Dee.....

• DEE: Hey Sportsgirl!

• SG: So Dee, you are the infamous Delightful blogger. Tell us about your blog, how did it start?

• DEE: My blog, Delightful, began a year ago as an online scrapbook for me to document photographs that inspired me. I posted lots of magazine editorials, fashion shows, street style pics, things like that. Then, six months ago I bought a DSLR camera - that was when I started taking my own photos and from there the blog started to evolve into something a lot more personal.

• SG: You just got a feature in UK Vogue, how does it feel to have youniversal fame?

• DEE: It feels amazing! The Vogue feature was a huge shock because it came out of nowhere! One day I checked my email and saw all these comments from people saying "I saw your blog in Vogue..." and I had no idea what they were talking about. I was like, "what? me?!". After about a week I managed to track down the article and I was stunned. The write up they gave me was fantastic and I am very flattered that a publication as prestigious as UK Vogue thinks my blog is cool.

• SG: Here at SG HQ we are all totally hooked on Delightful, checking in daily for fashion eye candy. Who’s blog is stuck on your screen?

• DEE: At the moment, my favourite blog is Swedish blogger Signe Siemsen's Milk. I think she is a talented photographer, and I like the cool, random pictures she posts for inspiration. Her style is a mix of grunge and cute - which I never thought possible.

• SG: You and your mates look like the our kind of Sportsgirls. You can pick anyone in the world, who would be your ultimate Sportsgirl?

• DEE: Model Karlie Kloss. She's young, fun and stunningly beautiful.

• SG:  So, this season its all about the Sportsgirl Fashion Youniverse. What are your ultimate Fashion Youniverse pieces you can't live without?

• DEE: I couldn't live without a handbag so big I could almost fit myself inside of it. Sadly I'm not one of those girls who can go sans le sac - I need to lug around my wallet, keys, sunnies, deoderant, bobby pins, make up, phone, camera, computer cords, card readers, chargers.... you get the picture. Currently I'm carrying one I bought in Bali a year ago but I'm contemplating an upgrade soon. Maybe a YSL Muse or a Miu Miu Bow bag? The bigger the bag, the better, and I like it to be in black. Big sunglasses and a black leather jacket are my other must haves.

• SG: Being an Aussie born and bred, when did Sportsgirl first hit your fashion radar?

• DEE : Circa 1993 when overalls, velvet hats with big roses on the front and girl band 'Girlfriend' were all the rage.

• SG: We have just launched our new website. Being the ultimate online girl, how do you rate ours?

• DEE: I think you've done an amazing job! It's really cool that you guys are leading the way in retail by being the first high street brand to create such an all encompassing and large scale online project. I love that the website includes blogs, forums, style snaps, videos and other fashion related fun. You really haven't left anything out!

• SG: We reckon your fashion eye is pretty sharp. What are your favorite picks from this seasons collections and what will you be rocking out in?

• DEE: I'm loving the white lace that has been incorporated into the collection. The cute cropped singlet especially makes me want to lie in the grass, barefoot, making daisy chains. The straw hat with a simple black ribbon band is also a must have - that will be making its way into my wardrobe and accompanying me to the beach everyday, for sure. And Sportsgirl always do great basics, so I'll be stocking up on well cut, comfy tees and singlets in grey marle, black and white.

• SG: It has been noticed you are quite the photographer, who do you put on a photography pedestal?

• DEE: Thanks! I have lots of room for improvement, a photography course is definitely at the top of my to do list but I'm a big fan of the work of both Terry Richardson and Juergen Teller.

• SG: Who is your fashion icon?

• DEE: I've had phases of admiration for all the usual suspects: Miss Moss, the Olsens, Chloe Sevigny and Vogue Paris fashion director, Emmanuelle Alt. But at the moment, there is no one person that comes to mind. Off duty models always have great style though - simple yet chic, with amazing accessories.

• SG: What or who in the Fashion Youniverse gets you excited right now?

• DEE: At the moment I'm excited about bright lip colour that pops and 80s fabulous gold clip on earrings.

• SG: One last thing Dee, now you are a global fashion hit, what advice can you give our Sportsgirls on how to hit the big time?

• DEE: I'm really only just getting started myself - I'm in no way a global fashion hit - but I'd say to just go for it. I've just been rollin' with a mix of persistence, hard work and following my intuition, and so far it seems to be working. Maybe that's the recipe for hitting the big time? Here's hoping! x
